Alex Dino, chef, author, and marathoner, is a New York-trained chef who grew up in Manila, where he was exposed to cooking that fused Asian culture. He graduated with honors from the Art Institute of New York and has since worked in NY restaurants including Le Bernardin, Alta, and Marriott. Author of cookbook “Modern Tofu,” he was profiled by Fortune magazine as the Best Cafeteria Chef in America in 2008.

Last year, Chef Dino became the Grand Champion of the 2010 Sears Chef Challenge, a seven-month long cooking competition among professionals in the US. Chef Dino is now the owner and executive chef of Sachet d’Epices that caters to the Tri-state area. A health advocate, he is also a competitive marathoner and certified running coach.
